Rezz Cancels Coachella Weekend Two Performance Due to Health Issues

Electronic musician Rezz has canceled her performance at Coachella‘s second weekend, citing health issues that “need to be addressed.”

In a post on social media, the Canadian DJ/producer said she had been shrugging off health issues and had no choice but to call off her weekend two performance at the Sahara tent. “My body has been whispering for a while that I need a real break, but I continued to push thinking it would be fine,” she wrote. “I have to put my health first, as things going on need to be addressed.”

She said that she would be uploading her weekend one set to YouTube soon as it’s “something I’m super proud of. I love u all, I hope u understand. It’s gonna be a process for my healing. Thank you Coachella I’m grateful I got to perform last weekend now it’s time to focus on my health.”

Rezz is one of several musicians who had to cancel their Coachella performances this year. Ahead of the festival, Lambrini Girls dropped out due to the lead singer suffering a fractured neck and an acute brain injury. Fifteen minutes after he was supposed to take the main stage at midnight on Friday, Anyma announced that he was pulling the plug on his headlining show due to extreme weather.

Rezz has become known over the years for her powerful live performances and her signature glowing spiral goggles. She released her most recent project, the “A Shift in Perspective” EP, just days before her Coachella appearance this year.
