Presidents’ Day is nearly here, and Best Buy’s sale is already in full swing, with huge savings on kitchen appliances of all sizes. I’m TechRadar’s resident coffee expert, and the best deal I’ve spotted is the excellent De’Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo for just $499.99 (was $699.99) – an enormous saving on one of 2024’s best coffee makers.
When we reviewed this premium espresso machine, we awarded it a full five stars thanks to its ease of use and consistently excellent results. Even if you’re new to home coffee-making, this semi-automatic machine will guide you through the fundamentals and have you wielding a portafilter with confidence in no time.

Another of its best features – and one I wouldn’t want to be without when the weather starts to warm up – is its ability to make authentic-tasting cold brew using water directly from the tank, bypassing the boiler. This takes longer than brewing hot, but the results are well worth the wait, with a milder yet still well-rounded flavor. Buono!

The steam wand is particularly well-designed, pivoting out from the machine to give you plenty of space for your milk pitcher (one of the quality accessories supplied with the machine) and featuring a cool-touch silicone sleeve to prevent accidental burns. Despite its compact size, the La Specialista Arte Evo was able to maintain plenty of steam pressure for us to fully texturize and heat our milk ready for lattes and cappuccinos.
