Secret Daniels Project Starring Matt Damon Adds Sandra Oh To Cast

EXCLUSIVE: After landing Matt Damon for its first big role for their secret event film at Universal, filmmaker duo Daniels aka Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert have now set their sights on his new co-star as sources tell Deadline Sandra Oh is in talks to join the untitled project.

Universal and reps for Oh could not be reached for comment.

Details on the project remain under wraps. Kwan, Scheinert and Jonathan Wang will produce through their company Playgrounds’ overall deal with Universal. Playgrounds’ Kwan and Wang recently produced The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist from Universal’s specialty studio Focus Features. It bowed in March.

Executive VP Production Development Sara Scott and Director of Production Development Jacqueline Garell will oversee the Daniels’ new project for Universal.

The pic is set to bow on November 19, 2027.

Best known for her Emmy-winning work on Greys Anatomy, Oh was most recently seen in the Lionsgate comedy Good Fortune opposite Keanu Reeves. She continues to lend her voice to the hit Prime Video series Invincible and was also recently seen on the HBO limited series The Sympathizer.

She is repped by UTA, Principal Entertainment, Untitled Entertainment and attorney Jason Hendler.
