A new era of BÉIS is officially here! Today begins a new chapter for the Shay Mitchell-founded brand, with a major renovation of the core collection. Even if you already have (and love!) travel essentials from BÉIS, consider this your reintroduction to everything that’s new and improved!
Leading the renovated core collection is the brand’s hero product, The Weekender. Perfect for a wide range of travel moments all year round, here’s what’s new:
- Frame-Free Opening: The side-snap connection up top frees up packing room at the top for easier closing and a more accurate read on usable space.
- Dual-Compartment Access: There’s internal rollback access to the bottom compartment, for a more integrated design.
- Upgraded Strap Construction: Reinforced, padded straps add comfort.
- Modern Design: Combining recycled poly canvas with a coated bottom compartment, the look feels more modern thanks to the removal of PU and metal hardware.
- Locking Zippers: The added safety feature adds security when you’re on the move.
E! spoke exclusively with Shay while celebrating the refresh, who told us about “one of the biggest changes” to the bag: the material. “We took off our PU leather and now it’s just fully canvas with a coated canvas on the bottom.”
Feedback from shoppers was a large consideration for the brand during the redesign process, she added. “Taking in that feedback from all of our friends at BÉIS who have told us how they like to travel what changes they would like to make to the bag, and we’ve heard them and we’ve made those changes.”
