The catch? This is the RTX 3050 model from a couple of years ago. That said, you don’t need the latest graphics card to reliably run PC games on a laptop. Even in its prime, the MSI Thin was considered an excellent value for its price. It’s still one of our best MSI gaming laptops. It may not be the quarterback of gaming laptops, but it’s enough for a basic gaming experience that you wouldn’t be able to afford otherwise.

Despite the older hardware, the MSI Thin offers perks alongside its RTX 3050 graphics card. It comes with an Intel Core i5-13420H processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD, all of which can handle basic gaming needs. Sure, you won’t be running Cyberpunk in 4K, but it should be more than enough for the average game on modest settings. The 144Hz refresh rate, which is offered by other gaming laptops at twice the price of the MSI Thin, is a significant advantage.
