Snap Names Anmol Malhotra as Global Head of Content and Partnerships

Anmol Malhotra, a 10-year veteran of Snap, has been promoted to the role of global head of content and partnerships.

He assumes the role after Jim Shepherd, formerly Snap’s senior director of global content partnerships, recently exited to join Meta as senior director of content partnerships.

Malhotra most recently led sports and media partnerships at Snap. In the new job, he is in charge of managing Snapchat’s creator ecosystem, content strategy, editorial, community and global partnerships across sports, media, entertainment and music worldwide. As part of that, Malhotra oversees Snap’s international growth initiatives across North America, Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.

Since joining Snap in 2015, Malhotra has been a key leader in Snap’s partnerships organization. As head of sports and media partnerships, he has worked with broadcasters, publishers, leagues and rights holders including NBC, ESPN, NFL, NBA, UFC, FIFA, the IOC and the U.K.’s Channel 4.

Prior to joining Snap, Malhotra worked at global asset management firm BlackRock. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and lives in New York City.

Malhotra assumes the helm of Snap’s content partnerships organization as the company continues to expand beyond advertising through premium content and direct-to-consumer offerings, including Snapchat+, its paid service that now has more than 25 million subscribers and represents a $1 billion-plus annualized run rate.

For Q1 2026, Snap reported revenue of $1.53 billion (up 12%) and narrowed its net loss to $89 million (vs. a $139.6 million net loss a year prior). In its quarterly shareholder letter, the company said large advertisers in North America “remained a headwind to advertising growth” in Q1 but that it was “beginning to see encouraging signs that this part of the business is improving.” Snap said North America upfront commitments for 2026 have grown approximately 10% year-over-year but added that recovery among larger advertisers in the region “remains early and uneven.”

Snapchat’s daily active user base grew to 483 million in Q1, up 5% year-over-year and a sequential gain from 474 million in Q4 2025.
