PHOENIX — South Carolina women’s basketball and coach Dawn Staley are playing UConn in the Final Four with a trip to the national championship game on the line.
The No. 1 seed Gamecocks (35-3) and the No. 1 overall seed Huskies (38-0) are playing on April 3 (7 p.m. ET, ESPN) in Mortgage Matchup Center, the first time Phoenix has hosted the event.

Former South Carolina star Aliyah Boston at Final Four
Aliyah Boston is gearing up for her fourth season in the WNBA but is back to support her college team. She was drafted No. 1 overall in 2023, the second Gamecocks player to go first overall. She’s one of the program’s most decorated athletes.
Flava Flav is at Women’s NCAA Final Four
Rapper Flava Flav, a big advocate for women’s sports is at the Final Four, sitting with Aliyah Boston.
Former South Carolina football player Deebo Samuel at Final Four
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel is here to support his former school. He played for the Gamecocks from 2015-18 and has since played for the Washington Commanders and San Francisco 49ers.
