Stranger Things Officially Returns This Summer With A Brand-New Release

[

Despite being one of the most successful and most loved television shows of all time, Stranger Things is yet to make its way to the gaming sphere, which is quite the surprise considering how much money it could make the studios that decided to pick it up. There is no doubt that thousands of fans would love the opportunity to explore Hawkins in an RPG, or better yet, a survival horror game, but at the time of writing, Stranger Things remains solely Netflix’s biggest television show.

However, all of that is set to change this summer as company Raw Thrills has announced that it is teaming up with Netflix to release Stranger Things Arcade. As you can probably imagine from its title, this is an arcade game inspired by the events of Stranger Things, accommodating 1–4 players as they explore Hawkins, battling Demogorgons, Demobats, Demodogs and, of course, Vecna, along the way.

Appearing at Dave & Busters locations around North America (via Arcade Heroes), Stranger Things Arcade is a whopping 118″ x 94″ x 104″ (HxWxD) in size and uses a 86″ 4K monitor. It also features buttons and payment slots suited for two groups of two, with an overall total of four players being able to dive into the action and even go head-to-head.

Stranger Things Arcade™ is an electrifying new arcade game for 1-4 players from Raw Thrills, inspired by the hit Netflix series, Stranger Things. We are turning arcades upside down with this new arcade game. This family-friendly masterpiece invites players of all ages to battle Demogorgons, Demobats, Demodogs, and Vecna himself, in a high-energy, ball-throwing quest featuring the show’s iconic characters, locations, and haunting soundtrack. Engineered for maximum uptime, the cabinet boasts the proprietary Thrill-Scan™ ball sensing system for pinpoint accuracy. Hang out with the gang in Hawkins!

Luckily, we have been treated to some screenshots of Stranger Things Arcade in action which are littered throughout this story, and there is no denying that some of the most iconic monsters from the television show are about to make your life hell when the arcade game launches in arcades this summer. We also know that some beloved characters will be playable, including Max, Mike, and Will, and perhaps most excitingly, there will be cinematics implemented, with one example showing Vecna attacking Eleven.

In this ball-throwing arcade game, you will be treated to all of Stranger Things’ most iconic locations, characters, and enemies, and there is no denying that this will be the perfect way to spend your summers.
