Surprise Party’ Immersive Experience Opens in U.K.

A 19,000 square foot interactive “Peppa Pig” experience has opened in the U.K.

“Peppa Pig: Surprise Party,” which is located in Gateshead, in the north of England, was developed by Hasbro and Immersive Everywhere for children aged one to six to step into the world of the animated series.

The experience blends live puppetry, theater, digital storytelling and sensory play, enabling families to embark on an adventure through Peppatown as they help the popular pig embark on a not-so-secret surprise party.

Guests will enter via The Big Train before exploring the experience at their own pace. Familiar locations include Peppa’s House and The Aquarium and there will be plenty of characters from the long-running show to keep them occupied.

Among the activities available are finding a birthday gift with Miss Rabbit, practising singing “Happy Birthday” with Madame Gazelle and helping Granny Pig get the birthday cake ready. The grand finale involves an oink-tastic party at Peppa’s House involving party hats, giggles, bubbles and more.

The experience also includes an in-world café (catered by The Knot Churros) serving Instagrammable sweet treats and Peppa Pig Market, an interactive gift shop inspired modelled on the supermarket in the show.

A range of facilities are also available ranging from baby changing areas to relaxed performances.

Tickets are £9.50 ($12.65) per adult and £15.00 ($20) for children over 12 months.

“Peppa Pig: Surprise Party” is the latest experience for fans of the show, which first launched over 20 years ago. There is a Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park in Hampshire, in the south of the U.K, which opened in 2011. In 2022 the Peppa Pig Theme Park opened at Legoland Florida Resort followed by a Peppa Pig playground at Legoland Windsor resort in the U.K. two years ago.
