Surprise weekend sale is live at Best Buy — I’ve picked out the 22 best deals on TVs, laptops, games, and more tech

Best Buy has just launched a surprise weekend sale, and over the next few days, will offer up to 50% off a selection of TVs, laptops, headphones, games, and loads more tech. I’ve looked through the sale and picked out the 22 best deals that I think are worth buying, with prices starting from $24.99.

It’s important to point out first that I haven’t seen many deals that would rival the biggest price cuts we usually see during major sales such as Black Friday. However, there are still some solid discounts up for grabs, and a handful of offers that come very close to previous record-low prices.

With that in mind, I want to start with this LG 48-inch B5 OLED TV for $649.99 (was $1,299.99). That’s just $50 more than the previous best-ever discount for one of the top budget OLED TVs you can buy. As the successor to the highly-rated B4 OLED, it offers excellent picture quality, rich colors, deep blacks, and terrific gaming features for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Elsewhere, I want to give a shoutout to this Asus CX14 Chromebook Plus for $259 (was $429). This is an excellent value option if you need a basic and capable everyday laptop. It boasts 8GB of RAM to boost performance and boot times, which is not always available at this price point, and the lighter ChromeOS can get more from some of the cheaper, entry-level components.
