SwagBoyQ-Led Lifetime Microdrama Sets Premiere

EXCLUSIVE: Lifetime‘s first microdrama, Tides of Temptation, will premiere on July 7 on executive producer Taye Diggs‘ new vertical platform, Microhouse Films. Tides of Temptation will serve as the tentpole title for the platform, which launches on the same day with an additional 6 titles yet to be revealed.

The series is the first of five vertical projects that have been set as part of Lifetime and Microhouse Films‘ partnership.

Tides of Temptation, a digital offshoot of Lifetime’s upcoming Love of a Lifetime original movie Terry McMillan Presents: Paradise with You, stars Q Stenline aka SwagBoyQ, Troy Brookins, Mea Wilkerson and David John Craig. While the two projects share a common story world, Tides of Temptation stands on its own as a complete story.

The series deepens the drama from the Diggs-led Terry McMillan Presents: Paradise with You, which premieres in the fall. Tides of Temptation is set on the lush island of Nevis, where paradise hides a dangerous undercurrent… and beautiful young Constance (Wilkerson) is trapped inside of it. Her life is controlled by her demanding brother Malik and her abusive boyfriend Wes. When ambitious young athlete Jamal (Stenline) enters her life and confronts the dangerous world around her, everything fractures. And as Jamal and Constance fall hard for each other, they soon come to realize their dangerous new love could cost them everything.

Tides of Temptation is executive produced by Diggs, Shelby Stone and Autumn Federici. It is produced in association with Motion Entertainment, a WPP Media Company, with Chet Fenster also executive producing. Troy Brookins co-produces. Gary and Edmund Entin directed from a script by Nanea Miyata with a story by Ejay Jamison.
