Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Taiwan, the rose 0.37%.

The best performers of the session on the were Global View Co Ltd (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 3.50 points to trade at 38.50 at the close. Meanwhile, ASRock Inc (TW:) added 10.00% or 19.50 points to end at 214.50 and Biostar Microtech International Corp (TW:) was up 9.95% or 2.10 points to 23.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which fell 9.95% or 0.21 points to trade at 1.90 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Evertex Fabrinology Ltd (TW:) was down 7.23% or 1.85 points to 23.75.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:) fell to all time lows; losing 9.95% or 0.21 to 1.90.

Crude oil for October delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $75.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $78.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 12.60 to trade at $2,540.30 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.26% to 31.99, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.13% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 100.79.
