Taylor Sheridan’s Gritty 4-Part Crime Series Gets New Release Update From Sylvester Stallone

[

Sylvester Stallone shares an update on Tulsa King season 4.

The gritty drama stars Stallone, with the three-time Oscar nominee making a major foray into television by stepping into the role of Dwight Manfredi and examining his return to a life of crime after a prison stint. The Paramount+ Original, which hails from Taylor Sheridan, has enjoyed a successful run as one of the most-watched streaming series.

On Instagram, Stallone recently shared a new photo of himself on the set of Tulsa King. The actor looks to be dressed as Dwight, with shades and one of the character’s signature looks. In the caption, Stallone writes: “TULSA KING is being edited now AND COMING YOUR WAY SOON!” Although unconfirmed, it could suggest that new episodes will be released in 2026.

The news about the progress of Tulsa King season 4 comes after a string of updates about the Paramount+ series. It includes the fact that The Rookie‘s Flula Borg will play tech billionaire, Bradley Van Heusen. Gretchen Moll (Broadwalk Empire) will play Amanda Clark, a Tulsa politician.

They join a Tulsa King cast, which has included Martin Starr, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, Neal McDonough, Beau Knapp, Bella Heathcote, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Mike “Cash Flo” Walden, Kevin Pollak, Vincent Piazza, Frank Grillo, Michael Beach, James Russo, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany.

Behind the scenes, Tulsa King season 4 will feature the return of Terence Winter as head writer. Winter, Sheridan, and Stallone executive produce alongside David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Thomas Kelly, Bob Yari, and Keith Cox. Produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios, the franchise is also readying for a spinoff led by Samuel L. Jackson.

Jackson’s character, Russell Lee Washington Jr., is introduced in season 3 and features heavily in the run-up to the season 3 finale. Washington is a veteran hitman who has served time with Dwight and who ends up assisting Dwight in his moment of need. The spinoff is titled Frisco King, with a premiere date so far unannounced.

In the Tulsa King season 3 finale, Dwight burns Dunmire (Robert Patrick) alive. It’s a triumphant moment for the protagonist since he finally gets back at a hated rival. However, there’s the suggestion that trouble might still loom for Stallone’s character. So far, the crime drama has released new episodes every year since its debut in 2022. It looks like it will keep that streak going.
