Taylor Swift’s Rumored Wedding Planner Has Worked With Jack Antonoff

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly just hours away from tying the knot at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden in what is already being described as the wedding of the decade, if not longer, based on breathless media coverage. Every detail has inspired a wave of headlines, from deliveries of castle pieces and disco balls to who is performing and how much New York police officers are getting paid. None of it has come from Swift or her indefatigable rep, Tree Paine, who has not released any official statements or even a confirmation that it’s happening over the next 48 hours. But if the internet is to be believed, it is happening Friday inside MSG where up to 1,000 guests are expected for the nuptials, which are being planned by creative event planner Mark Seed and his team. Below is what we know about the super secretive yet in-demand Seed.

A Wedding Planner to the Stars

Mark Seed has plenty of experience with A-list nuptials. Per various online reports, Seed and his team have spearheaded plans for such stars as Jennifer Lawrence (who married Cooke Maroney at the Belcourt of Newport mansion in Rhode Island in 2019) and Billie Lourd (who married Austen Rydell on the beach in Cabo San Lucas in 2022). But the key Swift connection is the fact that Seed planned the wedding of longtime collaborator and close friend Jack Antonoff, who married actress Margaret Qualley in New Jersey in 2023. Swift got an eyeful of what Seed was able to produce as she reportedly attended the wedding, as did fellow stars like Channing Tatum, Zoe Kravitz, Cara Delevingne and Lana Del Rey.

Secrecy Seems to Be a Top Priority

Mark Seed’s online presence is … slim. The professional event planner doesn’t brag or boast about his famous clientele on social media. He doesn’t have an Instagram account that we can find, and his professional website has only a landing page that features a logo and an email address. He’s listed on the clientele roster for Exposure NY as a Creative Event Planner. The firm also reps photographers, stylists, set designers, visual artists, event designers and more. Per Page Six, “He is renowned for never, ever talking about his clients.” Adding to the tightly controlled environment, NBC News reported that guests were asked to sign non-disclosure agreements as part of the invitation process and they were also informed of the wedding’s no-phones policy.

“He’s Basically a Genius”

Actress and producer Sam Ressler married Jason Borg of real estate investment and development firm Terrace Group Holdings in 2022, and Vogue covered the wedding details. Ressler dished that both she and her sister turned to Mark Seed to help plan their big days, and Ressler’s was quite the sprint. “We didn’t want a long engagement,” she told the mag of the event, which was planned in only 12 weeks to take place at her parents’ L.A. home. “My sister got married there in September of 2020, and we both worked with event planner Mark Seed. He made everything so easy, fun, and seamless. He’s basically a genius and has the chillest energy. He’s also incapable of panic. He can right-size any problem and can put things in perspective. He really gets that this should just be a celebration of love and a fun experience to plan.” Through her company We The Women, Ressler has experience planning productions and live events and she said it’s something she loves to do but she still trusted Seed to bring it all to life. “Mark is so creative, and it was genuinely so much fun coming up with ideas together and his execution of my vision was beyond my wildest expectations,” she told Vogue.

Seed Scores With Custom Structures

Don’t expect wedding guests to be seated inside MSG with a view of the basketball floor. Per various reports, a custom castle and garden are being built inside the venue. Seed has experience with custom structures as he built a greenhouse on the lawn of Ressler’s parents’ home in L.A., and apparently he has a reputation for such grand builds. “He can build something spectacular out of nothing,” a source told Page Six.
