Shares of TD Power Systems rallied over 12% to Rs 1,433 apiece on the BSE on Wednesday after the company reported a 72% year-on-year (YoY) increase in Q1 profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 86 crore, compared with Rs 50 crore in the year-ago quarter.

The company reported its Q1 earnings post-market hours on Tuesday. Revenue surged 71% YoY to Rs 640 crore from Rs 374 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. EBITDA also rose 72% YoY to Rs 121.7 crore, compared with Rs 70.8 crore in the June quarter of FY26.

TD Power Systems delivered its highest-ever quarterly order inflow and sales during Q1 FY27, as order inflow jumped 87% YoY to Rs 734 crore. During the June quarter, the company secured multiple orders from leading turbine OEM across steel, cement and sugar industries, including international projects in Africa and the Middle East. It also bagged orders across its Hydro engine generator and gas engine generator segments, such as securing the Hydro engine segment’s largest order from a Domestic Hydro OEM for 4 × 16 MW vertical hydro generators for a major hydropower project in Africa.

The company indicated further high-volume genset programs for CY 2027, in addition to an expected competitor-replacement order for an African mining customer.
