Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is almost here and looks very trippy.
Since The Big Bang Theory premiered in 2007, CBS has exclusively been the home of the nerd-centric franchise from Chuck Lorre. After Young Sheldon’s end in 2024, it was immediately followed by Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, which continues the universe’s lore on the broadcaster during the 2025-2026 TV season. In a couple of months, however, The Big Bang Theory begins a new era with Stuart Fails to Save the Universe.
Seven years after The Big Bang Theory ended, the flagship remains ever popular, but while it has expanded in the last few years, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe marks several firsts for the franchise. For starters, it is the universe’s first sequel story — set after Sheldon and Amy’s Nobel Prize win in the flagship. Secondly, it’s also a full-blown sci-fi series, unlike the more grounded Young Sheldon and Stuart Fails to Save the Universe. Finally, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is going to be on streaming rather than network TV.
As part of Warner Bros. Discovery upfronts, the new trailer for Stuart Fails to Save the Universe has officially been unveiled. It has also been confirmed that all 10 episodes of the Kevin Sussman-led The Big Bang Theory spinoff sequel will be dropping on July 23, 9PM ET. Watch the official first promo look below:
