- Full specs for the Galaxy S26 have leaked
- Only minor upgrades are shown
- The phones have been spotted in testing too
We’re heading quickly towards 2026, and in the first few months of next year we’re expecting to see the Samsung Galaxy S26 flagship phones break cover – phones we now know quite a bit more about, thanks to two fresh leaks.
The first leak comes from seasoned tipster @UniverseIce, who has posted not once but twice with specs lists that purportedly reveal all the key details of the Galaxy S26, the Galaxy S26 Plus, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra (with no sign of a Galaxy S26 Edge).
There’s the usual bump in processor here – to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or the Samsung Exynos 2600, depending on the model – but apart from that it doesn’t look as though too many upgrades are in the pipeline.
The standard Samsung Galaxy S26 is getting a screen size increase apparently, from 6.2 inches to 6.3 inches, and the battery capacity is set to jump up from 4,000 mAh to 4,300 mAh. However, the cameras, RAM, maximum storage, and charging speeds are unchanged.

As for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus, it looks very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus. In fact the only difference we can see in this leak, besides the chipset, is a small increase in the weight – from 190 grams to 194 grams.
When it comes to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, again there’s a lot that’s the same. However, the 10MP telephoto camera is rumored to get a larger sensor, while the wired charging speed is going up from 45W to 60W. It’s also said to be getting slightly thinner.
Samsung fans will be disappointed that so little is changing on the 2026 phones, and it’s something that the manufacturer has already been criticized for in the past: settling for minor upgrades year on year, compared to what Apple is doing with the best iPhones.
The second leak we have comes from @theonecid, who says that the Galaxy S26 has been spotted on a testing server, running One UI 8.5. That suggests we might see a launch as early as January, though there has been some uncertainty over that.
