The Walking Dead Officially Returns In One Month

It may have come to an end back in 2022 after eleven seasons, but it is safe to say that The Walking Dead franchise is far from over, thanks to multiple spin-off shows, webisodes, and video games.

Based on the comic book series of the same name, The Walking Dead tells the story of a post-apocalyptic society where a group of survivors must learn to live in a world filled with flesh-hungry zombies, and over its 12-year run, it managed to become AMC’s flagship series, racking up multiple awards in the meantime.

Now that its spin-off shows are keeping fans covered when it comes to live-action entertainment, such as the currently airing The Walking Dead: Dead City and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, it seems as though gamers are also in for a treat as early as next month.

That is because The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is set to launch on 18 September 2026. Developed by Odaclick Game Studio, this 2D fighter, based on AMC’s The Walking Dead, will see you fight walkers as Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon and Michonne. In this arcade brawler, you will go head-to-head with some of the most brutal survivors, including the Saviors, and, of course, the walkers themselves, as you master devastating combos, signature weapon attacks, and crushing finishers.

Based on the events of the All Out War storyline in The Walking Dead, players will get to relive the show but immerse themselves in the events like never before. As such, you can expect to see some familiar locations — including the Sanctuary, Hilltop, and Alexandria — as well as master the unique skills of our beloved survivors. Whether this means Rick’s magnum, Michonne’s katana, or Daryl’s trusty crossbow, how you approach each battle will be entirely up to you.

Featuring hard-hitting arcade beat ’em up-style combat, overwhelming walker swarms and ruthless enemies, and even iconic bosses such as Winslow, the Well Walker, and more, The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is the must-have video game title for any true fans.

As mentioned, The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival launches just next month for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
