The Walking Dead might have wrapped up its original run almost four years ago, but AMC’s zombie franchise is showing absolutely no signs of staying dead. The flagship series ran for a mammoth 11 seasons and 177 episodes, spawning an entire universe of spin-offs that continues to expand today, and now, almost 16 years after Rick Grimes first woke up to a very different world, the franchise is showing that, like its antagonists, it is proving very hard to kill.
Netflix and AMC Global Media have officially announced a multi-year global licensing agreement covering every series in The Walking Dead universe. The deal gives Netflix and AMC co-exclusive streaming rights to the original series alongside all six of its spin-offs, encompassing a staggering 371 episodes.
