When someone mentions the name Tom Hiddleston in 2026, the first of his roles that immediately comes to mind is Loki, who he’s played since the earliest days of the MCU. Hiddleston has gone from playing the feature villain in MCU movies like Thor and The Avengers, and all these years later, he’s set to be a key figure in the fifth official Avengers movie, Avengers: Doomsday, which is coming to theaters later this year on December 18. What Is Tom Hiddleston’s Role in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’?
Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as Loki in Avengers: Doomsday, but he’s expected to be much more than a thorn in the side of Doctor Doom (played by Robert Downey Jr). The Loki series finale set up the anti-hero as the God of Time, keeping a watchful eye over the many timelines with near-infinite power. Fans also remain hopeful that Avengers: Doomsday will deliver the long-awaited reunion between Loki and his brother Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth), as the two have not been seen on the screen together since Avengers: Infinity War in 2018, when Loki died.
