Top 3 Must-Watch Netflix Shows This Weekend: April 24–26, 2026

[

The three best Netflix shows to binge-watch this weekend, April 24–26, 2026, are all brand new releases that are currently trending on streaming charts around the world. From a hidden gem thriller series that has gone viral this week to the return of one of Netflix’s biggest TV franchises of all time, there are plenty of great options to dive into this weekend, exclusively on Netflix.

Following the release of Beef season 2 last week, Netflix returns with a slate of promising new titles, some of which are already surging on the streamer’s global viewership rankings. A few other notable new series worth mentioning include the K-drama series Sold Out on You, which is the #2 show on Netflix worldwide right now, the sports docuseries Ronaldinho: The One and Only, Zach Galifianakis’s comedy series This Is a Gardening Show, and Kevin Hart’s reality competition show Funny AF. That said, no other three series on Netflix are expected to be more popular and better to binge than Running Point, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, and Unchosen.

Running Point

Running Point season 2 just arrived on Netflix on Thursday, April 23, with ten new episodes, all roughly 30 minutes each. Picking up where season 1 left off, Running Point is a sports-themed comedy series along the same lines as Ted Lasso with some real-world inspiration. Kate Hudson plays Isla Gordon, who takes over the operations of a prominent basketball team despite facing widespread skepticism.

Running Point season 2 improved to a Rotten Tomatoes score of 86% compared to season 1’s 79%, which indicates that the series is well worth the investment. It has become an instant overnight success, surging to Netflix’s #1 spot in the U.S. just one day after its global premiere. Loosely inspired by Jeanie Buss, the current controlling owner of the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers, Running Point is easy to binge for sports fans and comedy fans looking for something casual this weekend.

Stranger Things: Tales From ’85

The long-awaited expansion of the Stranger Things universe has finally arrived in the form of the new adult-animated series Stranger Things: Tales From ’85. Set between seasons 2 and 3 of the original series, Tales From ’85 is created by the same creators as the OG show but features a new slate of voice actors who portray iconic characters such as Eleven, Mike, and Dustin. Released on Thursday, April 23, the series has been moderately successful during its first 24 hours on the streamer, climbing as high as #6 in the U.S.

Like Running Point season 2, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 consists of 10 episodes, each roughly 30 minutes long. This makes it ideal to binge-watch over the course of a weekend, and possible to complete from start to finish in just one night. Even though the series is officially a part of the canon Stranger Things universe, the series has already divided both critics and viewers, resulting in a Rotten Tomatoes score of just 67%. Still, if you enjoyed the original series, Tales From ’85 is at least worth checking out this weekend.

Unchosen

The biggest streaming hit of the week that should be considered a must-watch this weekend on Netflix is the 6-part dramatic thriller Unchosen. Starring Molly Windsor and Asa Butterfield, Unchosen follows a woman named Rosie who is a wife and mother in a conservative cult. Rosie finally gets the chance to break out of her shell when she encounters a mysterious man named Sam (Fra Fee), who is an escaped convict. Currently the most-watched Netflix show in the world heading into the weekend, Unchosen is one of the streamer’s best new shows to watch and the very best to binge with its six gripping episodes.
