Disney has officially announced that Toy Story 5 will arrive on Digital on Aug. 18, followed by its 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD release on Sept. 22. The home release also comes packed with hours of bonus content, deleted scenes and a limited-edition SteelBook for collectors.
The Digital and physical releases include a wide range of behind-the-scenes featurettes exploring the making of the movie, including The Toys Are Back in Town, Casting Playtime, 50 Buzzes and The Great Escape, and The Lost Toys, alongside a gag reel and five deleted scenes introduced by director Andrew Stanton and co-director Kenna Harris.
Digital purchasers will also receive exclusive music and lyric videos for Taylor Swift’s chart-topping original song “I Knew It, I Knew You,” while all editions include a feature-length audio commentary.
Disney is also releasing a limited-edition 4K SteelBook, alongside a special 2-Movie Collection pairing the original Toy Story with Toy Story 5, as well as an all-new 5-Movie Collection featuring every film in the franchise. Since opening in cinemas in June, Toy Story 5 has grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, earned an A CinemaScore, and is Certified Fresh and Verified Hot on Rotten Tomatoes.
