Xbox Game Pass Loses 5 Free Games On April 15

[

Xbox Game Pass members are going to lose access to five free games on April 15, so this may be the last chance to check them out. There’s a constant influx of new titles being added to Microsoft’s subscription service, allowing players to check them out entirely for free depending on their subscription tier level. Just recently, the company revealed a batch of new free games for April, which includes Vampire Crawlers and Hades 2 on Xbox Game Pass.

The new games were revealed through an official post on Xbox Wire, which details all the titles, as well as when they will be added to the catalogs, the tiers that will have access to each of them, and the platforms on which they will be playable. This is, of course, only the first half of the new titles, as more are expected to arrive later in April. However, the official reveal has also come with a few downsides for Xbox Game Pass members.

As part of the Wave 1 updates to Xbox Game Pass in April, there are a few games being removed from the catalog on April 15. In total, according to the announcement, there are five games being removed from the Game Pass catalog soon. It’s unclear whether or not they will return later on, so it may be the last chance to play them.

The list below highlights each of the games leaving Xbox Game Pass on April 15:

  • Ashen
  • Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery
  • Terra Invicta (Game Preview)

This will be the last chance to play these games for free on the catalog. My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery was added to Xbox Game Pass in January, so it remained available for only a short period. If you aren’t able to beat the games before they leave, know that each of these titles is 20% off right now, so you can enjoy the discount to either continue playing or start it, in case you haven’t had the time before.

Xbox Game Pass Still Has A Great April Lined Up

Nearly 20 Free Games Have Already Been Announced

Even with some remarkable titles leaving the platform, such as GTA 5 or Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, members will gain access to several great games. Apart from the aforementioned Hades 2 and Vampire Crawlers, a 93-hour RPG joins Xbox Game Pass for other members to check out.

DayZ, Endless Legend 2, FBC: Firebreak, and Planet Coaster 2 are all already available for members, depending on your tier, and further down the line, you can expect Replaced, The Thaumaturge, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Kiln. The first wave for April is bringing forth nearly 20 new titles to Xbox Game Pass, and there will be more with Wave 2.
