Microsoft has announced an exciting new day-one release for Xbox Game Pass on April 30, and this will be a fun and quirky game you and your friends won’t want to miss out on. It’s already a great year for day-one titles on the subscription service, as was teased by the company last year. Just a few days ago, for example, Xbox Game Pass received Vampire Crawlers as a day-one addition to its catalog under the Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers.
It seems like Microsoft has no intention of slowing down in this regard, as there are more day-one titles lined up for later this month. Revealed via an official post on Xbox Wire, the company highlighted all the Wave 2 additions to Xbox Game Pass in April, and several of the incoming titles are day-one releases. This limits them to the aforementioned tiers, but it also means that members who qualify can play the games as soon as they are released globally.
Xbox Game Pass Gets New Day-One Release On April 30
Sledding Game Arrives In Early Access
One of the upcoming day-one releases on Xbox Game Pass mentioned in the announcement is called Sledding Game. Developed and published by The Sledding Corporation, the indie game will be released on April 30 and join the subscription service’s catalog simultaneously. The game is arriving in its Early Access build, meaning the developer is still working on the title, even though it is available.
This means that players will get updates to the game, likely presenting new playable content to explore, as well as see fixes happening – many of which may be based on feedback. Sledding Game will be playable on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and via cloud gaming for members of the Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers. This new Xbox Game Pass addition in April already looks extremely promising, as silly as it may look from the surface.
Sledding Game May Be The Next Big Friendslop Hit
The Indie Game Looks Quirky & Fun
Sledding Game is described as a “multiplayer snowsports hangout game” that features proximity chat. The core gameplay loop is going on sledding adventures and relaxing with your friends while you try to make it to the bottom of the mountain in one piece. Because you’ll likely be crashing on the way down, the developer incorporated ragdoll physics to make it look even funnier.
With its simplified gameplay mechanics, multiplayer fun, and proximity-based chat, it would be no surprise if Sledding Game became one of the next big friendslop hits, to the likes of REPO or Peak, two of the best games released in 2025, for example. One of the features that sets Sledding Game apart is the ability to fully customize your playable character, and the ability to socialize outside of sledding areas.
The game is arriving in Early Access, which means there is still a lot to be done until the final version is released. Even so, Sledding Game already looks promising and extremely fun to play with friends. This alone makes it an Xbox Game Pass addition that should be on all players’ radars.
