Xbox Officially Unveils Beautiful New Logo Inspired By Its Past

Since the first Xbox was released back in 2001, the Microsoft console has come quite a long way. Welcoming the Xbox 360 in 2005, the Xbox One in 2013, and more recently, the Xbox Series X/S in 2020, we have all had our favorite, whether that is because it has given us some of our most beloved games, or because it marked a memorable time in our childhood. However, as the Xbox has transformed over the years, so too has its design, whether that is the console itself or something as minor as its logo.

It is the Xbox logo that is the subject of today’s news as Microsoft has unveiled the brand-new logo and redesign which will represent the Xbox brand from now on. Shared on the official Xbox Twitter account, we can see the new-and-improved design, but eagle-eyed fans will notice that nostalgia played a large role in the redesign. Featuring a green, glowing nexus which is simple yet highly effective against the black background, Xbox is well and truly back with nods to the original Xbox logo we all know and loved.

Not only is this design sleek and highly affective, but appealing to nostalgia is always going to be a big win for any company. Not only that, but could a logo redesign hint at the next-gen Xbox console being revealed soon? After all, it has been almost six years since the launch of the Xbox Series X/S, and with technology advancing at a rapid rate in recent years, there is no doubt that Microsoft could make its console bigger and better than ever before. However, with no confirmation as yet, we still have plenty of time with our Xbox Series X/S, so let us just hope that some more exclusives will be revealed in the future.

With comments from both the official Mountain Dew and RAZER accounts, it is safe to say that our green gang are liking the big unveiling, with Mountain Dew replying, “We are so back.”

Looking good Xbox!” With fans praising the new green and black design and nods back to the original Xbox, it seems as though Microsoft has done well to welcome a redesign, and as far as fans are concerned, the future is looking bright.
