Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Remake Release Date Has Been Staring Us In The Face

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is one of the most magical gaming experiences, and its remake will be a testament to how well Nintendo is able to bottle and repackage that magic for modern audiences. There have been rumors and speculation about how the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will tackle the original game’s approach to swapping between child Link and adult Link, for instance, and fans are generally frozen in anticipation since we’re apparently receiving the remake as soon as this year, assuming it won’t be delayed.

As shared on Reddit, Nintendo has announced Sword Kirby & Dragoon and Noir Dedede & Hydra amiibos, inspired by Kirby Air Riders, both with release dates of November 11, 2026. The OP points out the fact that Nintendo typically releases amiibos on the same day that one of its games is being released, regardless of whether the amiibos are related at all to the game that’s launching that day.

With no Nintendo game currently officially slated for a November release, and the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake still refusing to budge from its narrowing 2026 release window, we may be able to connect the dots and presume that the Ocarina of Time remake is planning to launch on November 11.

This user reinforced their theory by citing examples of amiibos that were released on the same day as unrelated games, such as the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom-inspired Mineru’s Construct amiibo, which shares its release date with Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave.

The only wrinkle in this theory is that Nintendo traditionally releases new games on Thursdays, and November 11 falls on a Wednesday this year. Still, it’s not as if traditions can’t be broken, and it’s also possible that the proposed November 11 release date for these Kirby Air Riders amiibos is actually November 12 for some parts of the world, taking into account time zone shenanigans.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake being released on November 11 would be quite brazen, as that’d mean it’s launching only a week before Grand Theft Auto 6. Of course, if there’s any game that’d be able to confidently stand toe-to-toe with Rockstar’s industry-shattering blockbuster epic, it’d be the highly anticipated remake of one of the most beloved games of all time. One way or another, until an official announcement is made, it seems we might know when to expect the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake to launch.
