Just a couple of days ago someone seemingly got their hands on a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and showed off its Privacy Display feature, and now someone else also seems to have acquired one, giving us even more insights into Samsung’s upcoming phone.
YouTube channel SamZone (via Phone Arena) has shown off what appears to be a functioning Galaxy S26 Ultra unit and it largely matches up with previous leaks, but with one significant exception, and one worrying new detail.
The exception is that according to this video, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has a titanium frame, just like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. That might not sound surprising, but some previous reports suggested Samsung would switch to aluminum — a change that would reportedly help with heat dissipation.
And it’s perhaps a change that Samsung should have made, because the new detail we mentioned is that the Galaxy S26 Ultra reportedly runs a little hot when using the camera, and even when watching videos. So that’s a bit troubling.
Of course, we’d always take leaks with a pinch of salt, and even if this is a genuine Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra and it really is running hot, it’s possible that this won’t be a common issue, or that Samsung will issue a day-one software update to address it.
The video also expressed issues with Wi-Fi connectivity, but that almost certainly would be patched before launch.
Largely as expected
Beyond that, this is largely stuff that we’ve heard before, with the leak pointing to a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a 5,000mAh battery, 60W charging, a weight of 214g and a thickness of 7.9mm — making it marginally thinner and lighter than its predecessor.
We also get another look at the Privacy Display, which dims the screen when viewed from the side, to hide sensitive content. This could be the phone’s headline feature given a general lack of major rumored upgrades beyond that.
We’ll find out for sure very soon though, as Samsung is set to unveil the full Galaxy S26 line later today (February 25). The launch kicks off at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT, which is 5am AEDT on February 26 for those in Australia.
