The Göteborg Film Festival has appointed Kristina Colliander as its new CEO.
She will take up the position in early autumn, joining from her role as CEO at Film Stockholm.
Colliander had been CEO at Film Stockholm since 2021. Before that, she was Head of Film Funding at the Swedish Film Institute and also had a stint as Head of Production Funding at the Institute. Colliander has also served as Head of Programming at SVT.
“It is both an honour and an inspiration to lead Göteborg Film Festival at a time of significant change in the film and cultural sectors,” Colliander said in a statement. “The festival is a unique meeting place for audiences and the industry, and I look forward to contributing to the continued development of the festival as a relevant and innovative force, both in the Nordic region and internationally.”
Pia Lundberg, Artistic Director of Göteborg Film Festival, will serve as Acting CEO until Colliander begins her tenure.
“I very much look forward to working with Kristina,” Lundberg said in a statement. “With her solid experience of leading and developing organisations in times of change, and her deep understanding of the conditions of filmmaking, I am confident that she will contribute to further strengthening the festival’s position.”
