Quentin Tarantino Inspired Assassin Action Series Confirms US Release Window

A new, Quentin Tarantino-inspired assassin action series is coming out soon.

The new show, titled Kill Jackie, has confirmed its US release window as new details about the riveting TV show are revealed. Based on the novel The Price You Pay by Nick Harkaway, the series stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as Jackie Price, a former criminal who has been spending the last two decades sequestered from the world and retired from her illegal activities. But, once she’s targeted by a group of assassins called The Seven Demons, she’s forced to return to her old ways in order to preserve her peace.

Now, Variety confirms that the Tarantino-inspired action thriller will be arriving in the United States this fall via AMC+. Parent company AMC Global Media acquired the rights to distribute the UK-based TV show in the US, with its streaming platform set to be its future home. President of AMC Studios Dan McDermott released a statement about the “daring, dark, comedic thriller” and its forthcoming US release, while Peter Lawson of Kill Jackie production company Steel Springs Pictures also expressed excitement for the series’ home in the US:

Dan McDermott: ’Kill Jackie’ is a standout addition to AMC+’s curated slate of premium scripted content, and a great example of the bold, character-driven storytelling for which we are known. Catherine Zeta-Jones commands the screen with a magnetic leading performance, and we’re thrilled to be working with her and the entire producing team to bring this daring, dark, comedic thriller to U.S. audiences.

Peter Lawson: We’re thrilled to partner with AMC Global Media to bring ‘Kill Jackie’ to audiences in the U.S. AMC has built an exceptional reputation for championing bold, premium storytelling, making it the ideal home for this series. We couldn’t be more excited for viewers to experience ‘Kill Jackie’ on AMC+.

In addition to Zeta-Jones’ starring role, the show also features an ensemble cast consisting of, Daniel Ings, Darci Shaw, Raff Law, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Óscar Jaenada, Hattie Hook, Enzo Cilenti, Christine Adams, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Kārlis Arnolds Avots, Set Sjöstrand, Tadashi Ito, Sebastian Armesto, Julian Barratt, Gavin Spokes, Jonathan Cake, Bamshad Abedi-Amin, and Bill Paterson. The series was co-created by Conor Keane, Tom Butterworth, Peter Lawson, and Damon Thomas, all of whom also serve as executive producers on the show alongside Zeta-Jones.

Lawson and Jose Agustin Valdes executive produce for Steel Springs Pictures, while Butterworth, Thomas, Rebecca Dundon, Dante Di Loreto, and Jeffrey Levine also serve as additional executive producers. Fremantle and Amazon MGM Studios also serve as production companies attached to the series, with the show set to premiere on Prime Video in the UK. This isn’t the first time AMC+ has become the home of an overseas Prime Video production: Nautilus and The Assassin were also released on Prime Video in the UK, prior to an AMC US release for both.

Kill Jackie marks Zeta-Jones’ next big TV role after featuring on the cast of Wednesday as Morticia Addams. It’s also her second major release of 2026, the first being the dark comedy thriller The Gallerist, which premiered in January at Sundance Film Festival. The assassin-focused show promises a high-octane series of events that will feature a number of familiar faces and compelling stories in the process. Its tone and premise feels pulled right out of Kill Bill, making it a strong Tarantino-inspired TV show to consider this fall.

As more information about the show is revealed, Kill Jackie has a chance to showcase where its inspiration was pulled from in various ways, while maintaining an identity all its own. As the Tarantino-inspired show approaches its release window, more information is bound to be showcased, particularly with how Zeta-Jones’ character contends with the threat she has to face down.
