Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a fantastic celebration of everything that makes Cyberpunk 2077 such a special IP, and it’s really the only significant thing to have spawned from the game directly besides the Phantom Liberty expansion. We know that Cyberpunk 2 is in development, and after Cyberpunk 2077 spent a ton of time introducing new updates in order to get the game to where it is now, it’ll be fascinating to see how the future of CD Projekt Red’s dark sci-fi epic takes shape.
Airing this fall, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has earned a ton of hype and is highly anticipated. But fans won’t be going into the acclaimed animated series’ second season empty-handed, as its release will conveniently coincide with the Kickstarter launch of the officially licensed Cyberpunk Trading Card Game, which has its own special content to look forward to in 2027.
On X, CD Projekt Red is advertising a premium accessory bundle for the Cyberpunk TCG that is available to preorder now. Themed after the climactic Rebecca and Adam Smasher showdown in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and created to “celebrate the unveiling of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 at Anime Expo 2026,” this bundle includes:
- Exclusive Cyberpunk TCG Nova Rare cards featuring “Adam Smasher – Ender of Legends” and “Rebecca – Having a Moment” in interconnecting artwork
- Set of six (6) acrylic dice in iconic Edgerunners yellow and green
- Woven-edge neoprene playmat (60 × 35 cm) featuring full “The Moment” artwork
- Flip-out deck box with detachable dice tray and full “The Moment” artwork
Cyberpunk TCG isn’t even out yet, but this premium accessory bundle, costing $174.99, will be a great investment for anyone who’s already so passionate about CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk franchise (which may abandon the ‘2077’ with Cyberpunk 2 and lean fully into the name of the subgenre and broader IP that it’s inherited). Fans who’ve already embraced Cyberpunk TCG with their generous Kickstarter pledge will probably be particularly excited about this bundle, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners fans, in general, may find it to be a rare treat.
This Cyberpunk TCG premium accessory bundle is estimated to be shipped in March 2027, while the full retail release of the Cyberpunk TCG itself will only be fully launching this fall.
One can only hope that Cyberpunk TCG’s popularity inspires CD Projekt Red to introduce a card-based minigame into Cyberpunk 2, preferably along the lines of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Gwent. Either way, Cyberpunk TCG has wonderful potential and could thrive for decades, depending on how successful Cyberpunk 2077’s legacy continues to be.
