Shantel VanSanten is returning to CBS‘ FBI series for one night only in an upcoming Season 9 episode. VanSanten will reprise her original role as Special Agent Nina Chase and will star opposite John Boyd, who plays her small-screen husband Stuart Scola, as a series regular on FBI.
Van Santen exited FBI as a series regular on the sixth episode of Season 5 titled “Double Bind.” However, she returned for the first time in the February 23rd episode of Season 8 titled “Confetti,” where she and Scola got engaged and had a low-key wedding at City Hall alongside their son Dougie and their loved ones.
She will next be seen in Episode 7 titled “Posterity,” where, after the murder of an online influencer, the team discovers that one of their cameras captured video of a criminal on the Most Wanted list. The team works alongside Special Agent Nina Chase to intercept him before he disappears.
“Posterity” will air Monday, November 16, from 8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT. Jake Tinker wrote the episode and was directed by Milena Govich.
FBI follows the inner workings of the New York field office criminal division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation as they fight to keep New York City and the country safe.
The cast also includes Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, Alana De La Garza, and Juliana Aidén Martinez.
