House of the Dragon’s latest season proved to be an improvement over its predecessor, offering climactic spectacle and intriguing character development that has helped pave the way for what will undoubtedly be an intense and exciting final season. Indeed, the final episode of the season was an immense success, garnering 34 million viewers, a 58% increase over the season’s first episode. However, as great as the third season of House of the Dragon was, it is now sadly over, and fans are left twiddling their thumbs, awaiting the next entry.
Well, that is, of course, unless they’re interested in the numerous Game of Thrones spin-offs. There is an abundance of spin-off media that fans have been consuming long before and since House of the Dragon season 3 aired, the vast majority of which has been well-received by fans. One of these projects is running a limited-time House of the Dragon event that fans can delve into completely for free. The only downside is that you’ll need to be present for the duration that it is active in order to make the most of it.
House of the Dragon is once again returning to Game of Thrones: Legends. The extremely popular free-to-play mobile title has previously run House of the Dragon-themed events, including as recently as early October, and featured popular characters from across the series, and indeed season 3 specifically, such as Ormund Hightower, Rhaenyra Targaryen, Aegon II Targaryen, and Sunfyre. The game’s latest House of the Dragon crossover is similar to its previous offerings, delivering familiar faces and new opportunities to pull rare Champions.
Running from Thursday, November 19 to Monday, November 23, the House of the Dragon Quest Event offers fans an opportunity to experience gameplay and scenarios based on the legendary show. Additionally, starting a few hours earlier on November 19 (and running until November 23) is the House of the Dragon Summon event. This will give players the opportunity to pull those aforementioned rare House of the Dragon champions.
The summon event will feature the Legendary Champions Rhaenyra Targaryen, Viserys I Targaryen, Tyland Lannister, and Olenna Tyrell. You’ll only have five days to acquire these Champions (or strengthen them if you have already unlocked them during a previous event), starting at 1 am ET on November 19 and ending at 2 pm ET on November 23. For those who don’t know, you can obtain Champion Shards by getting pulls from assorted banners, which can then be used to either unlock Champions you don’t already have or increase the power of those you’ve previously unlocked.
While it isn’t a brand-new House of the Dragon game and is rather short compared to previous HotD Game of Thrones: Legends events, it still marks a great opportunity for fans to unlock some of their favorite characters. It is also joined by events such as Robb’s War, Battle of the Bastards, and Battle of Blackwater Bay. If you haven’t downloaded Game of Thrones: Legends, it is completely free to start, although it features a lot of microtransactions. With this new House of the Dragon event on the horizon, now might be a good time to start.
