Spiralling RAM prices haven’t just hit those who build their own PCs — they’ve also majorly hit gaming laptop prices in recent months. There are still a few bargains to be had, however, if you’re keeping an eye out.
In the process of updating my monthly gaming laptop deals roundup, I’ve found a few listings that are actually worth sharing — and worth the cash.
First up is this Asus TUF F16 at Best Buy for $1,299 (was $1649), which features 32GB of RAM, a decent Core i7 chipset, and an RTX 5060 graphics card. I’ve seen quite a few sub $1,000 RTX 5060 machines recently, but they all tend to cheap out on the other components. By comparison, you’re getting a laptop that’s gameworthy right out the box here — albeit one that’s a little pricier than some.
For a meaningful upgrade, I’d also highlight this Acer Nitro V17 for $1,499 at Amazon as a great option. There’s no outright price cut, but this listing is a rare diamond in the rough at a retailer that’s usually flooded with subpar listings. An RTX 5070, 32GB of RAM, and Ryzen 7 chipset mean it’s a decent value today. It is a larger 17-inch model, though, which may be a drawback if you value portability.
