Kellie Pickler Details “Blessed” Life in First Interview Since Husband Kyle Jacobs’ Death
Kellie Pickler is putting a tough chapter behind her.
The “Red High Heels” singer reached a property settlement with her late husband Kyle Jacobs’ parents, Reed and Sharon, following his 2023 death, according to documents obtained by People on Nov. 4.
The terms of the settlement are confidential, though the docs stated that Pickler, 40, and her in-laws “have fully resolved all claims, disputes, and requests for relief by and between them” and that the parties are “satisfied with the distribution of assets” of his estate.
After Jacobs died by suicide at age 49, Pickler and his parents became engrossed in a legal battle over his property. His parents alleged that Pickler refused to give them Jacobs’ belongings—such as his guns, jewelry and musical instruments—according to May 2024 documents obtained by People.
Among the items they requested were his Japanese samurai sword, Rolex watch, Garmin watch, baseball card albums, school awards, seven pistols, work laptop and iPhone, per their subpoena obtained by InTouch.
As for the American Idol alum, she said her in-laws “entered [her] home and obtained items of personal property after [Jacobs’] death,” according to court docs obtained by the outlet.
