Lewis Pullman Details Advice, Relationship With Dad Bill Pullman

Bill Pullman is letting Lewis Pullman be a maverick. 

As the Top Gun: Maverick actor’s stardom only continues to grow, he revealed the “gems” his seasoned actor dad has shared to help him navigate the new chapter of life. 

“He’s very much in my corner and gives a lot of career advice,” Lewis told E! News’ Will Marfuggi at the premiere of his new movie Remarkably Bright Creatures in Los Angeles April 30, “but he’s not a father that’s like, ‘Do it this way, do it that way.’”

Indeed, the 33-year-old emphasized that the While You Were Sleeping star isn’t by any means laying out the blueprint for him. 

“He definitely allows me to carve my own path,” Lewis continued, “and make my own mistakes and learn from them—and I think that’s helped me a lot in so many ways.”

Sometimes, though, the Lessons in Chemistry alum’s path intertwines with the one his father walked before him. After all, he stars in Remarkably Bright Creatures alongside Sally Field, who his dad previously worked with in the 2019 National Theatre Live production of All My Sons.
