[

UPDATED with new trailer: Netflix on Friday released a new trailer for The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, the David Fincher-directed follow-up to Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood spotlighting Brad Pitt‘s stuntman Cliff Booth.

Tarantino wrote the screenplay but decided against helming the pic, which is now gearing for its November 25 release exclusively on Imax (though top chains Regal and Cinemark won’t screen it). It begins streaming on Netflix on December 23.

The action fast-forwards to 1977, when Booth, the former wingman of Leonardo DiCaprio’s Rick Dalton in the original movie, gets mixed up in a scheme involving another Hollywood star, played by Scott Caan. Elizabeth Debicki, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Peter Weller also star.

Tarantino previewed the first 17 minutes of the movie two weeks ago during a panel at AFI Fest, surprising the crowed with the sneak-peek footage spotlighting the character that earned Pitt the Supporting Actor Oscar.

PREVIOUSLY, September 21: We have the first trailer for David Fincher’s latest, The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth.

Directed by Fincher from a screenplay by Quentin Tarantino, the film will premiere in Imax on November 25 for a two-week engagement, followed by its release on Netflix on December 23.

Pitt, who earned an Oscar for his role as Cliff Booth, returns to play the character, but this time it’s 1977, and Hollywood looks very different. The film is a follow-up to Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The film also stars Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Peter Weller.

Here’s the official trailer.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood premiered in 2019 and was written and directed by Tarantino. The film featured a cast that included Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie, Austin Butler, Dakota Fanning, Timothy Olyphant, Mike Moh, Margaret Qualley, Al Pacino, Emile Hirsch, Bruce Dern and Luke Perry.

Pitt’s Cliff Booth is stunt double, driver, personal assistant and best friend to DiCaprio’s Rick Dalton. Cliff is a World War II special ops veteran who lives in a trailer with his pit bull. The character struggles to find work following an altercation with Bruce Lee and rumors that he killed his wife.

Tarantino’s film went on to win two Academy Awards: one for Pitt in Supporting Actor and another for Barbara Ling and Nancy Haigh for Production Design.

Buzz for Cliff Booth has been building since it was announced in 2024 that Pitt and Fincher were teaming on the project that Tarantino originally wanted to direct. Once Tarantino gave his blessing for Fincher to come aboard, Netflix was the obvious stop given the director’s exclusive deal there.
